The next game from the founder of Arkane will be a retro sci-fi RPG

Rafael Colantonio looking forward to the upcoming title Studio WolfEye, the team that debuted two years ago in the immersive role-playing simulator Weird West. Colantonio is the founder of Arkane and a longtime producer at the renowned French studio. Julien Roby, the second important person of WolfEye. The new product will likely be closer to their earlier works.

We already know that it will be a retro sci-fi RPG. Photo both developers from the GDC conference, where they are presenting the project behind closed doors. Another photo shows that we will be looking at the game from a first person perspective. The authors also showed a sketch of some kind of branching, but to find out whether this is a hint at elements of immersive-sim or something completely different, we will have to wait.

We liked WolfEye Studios’ 2022 debut, despite some shortcomings. “Weird West mainly prides itself on its history, atmosphere, original theme and consequences of actions. The authors do not violate any of these principles, so the game works and is fun,” we wrote in Weird West Review.
