When Volker Wertich introduced the picturesque strategy Pioneers of Pagoniahe was so excited that he spent years reading players’ opinions on the series Settlers and used it all to create a de facto successful spiritual successor. At the end of last year, the creator of the original The Settlers successfully launched his new project in early access on Steam.
Wertich continues to listen even now. Improvement in quality is followed by economic renewal. This will allow players to build a fishing lodge while exploring the islands of Pagonia and their peaceful and hostile inhabitants. They can catch trout and herring. Schools of herring can be found in oceans and trout can be found in lakes across all campaign maps. They may use the fish to prepare nutritious meals or in feeders for their diet.
The second long-awaited innovation is a large warehouse for more efficient and convenient optimization of the distribution and transportation of goods. The large warehouse will be replaced by eight small warehouses. As another update, it brings changes to population growth statistics, the display of player goods data, a better overview of the number of all units, and the ability to zoom out more on the map.
They will arrive in the coming months next update. They will include a general co-op mode, additional units and buildings, a redesigned combat system and many other new features. The game should remain in Early Access until at least the end of this year.
