Before release Control in the summer of 2019 and beyond, it seemed that the publisher 505 Games was throwing sticks in the footsteps of the creators from the Finnish studio Remedy Entertainment and deliberately sabotage the entire brand. A year of PC exclusivity on the Epic Games Store at a time when it was receiving negative publicity, a paid graphics upgrade on new consoles, a pointless weeks delay of the first paid DLC on the Xbox version, an exclusive mission and costume for the digital Deluxe Edition on PS4 that by agreement with Sony has not appeared anywhere else to this day… All this led to belief that the relationship between Remedy as a developer and 505 Games as a publisher does not bring anything good to end consumers.

However, in 2021 we received an announcement that this collaboration will continue and what will come of it a joint project from the world of Control with the working title Condor and a larger game, which eventually turned out to be a full-fledged sequel, that is Control 2. But now everything is different. Remedy management announced a deal with Target buy all rights to the Control brand from 505 Games.
