Xbox Boss Phil Spencer this week he commented on players’ concerns about physical copies of games. “We support physical media, but we don’t have a need to take it beyond consumer demand. (…) Nowadays, most customers buy games in digital format,” he said, adding that “game consoles have become almost the last consumer electronics that have mechanics. It’s really a challenge in terms of the number of mechanical manufacturers and the costs involved.”
