The second State of Play this year took place at night. Sony’s presentation this time focused on one anticipated game. She is one Final Fantasy VII: Rebirth. The second part of the remake of the seventh Final Fantasy will be released on February 29 on PlayStation 5.
The video included a new four-minute trailer (can be seen above) introducing Zack and featuring boss fights, mini-games and missions. Fans say the most surprising part of the trailer is Zack’s reunion with Aerith. Meanwhile, Cloud fights Sephiroth. The vengeful swordsman from Cloud’s past was believed to be dead.
It is appropriate to mention the whole story here. The heroes Cloud, Barret, Tifa, Aerith and Red XIII escaped from the dystopian city of Midgar and are now pursuing Sephiroth in an unknown desert. Expect adventures across a vast world and a compelling story that will see you witness each party member’s personal journey and strengthen their bonds to work together and face powerful enemies.
This unexplored wilderness offers interesting sites in interconnected regions. Here we can find luxurious cities, swamps, the ocean, Zach’s hometown or a canyon. If that wasn’t enough for you, adventures on the high seas await you. In each zone you will find a variety of activities that develop the plot of the main and secondary characters. To top it all off, mini-games include scooter riding, motorcycle or chocobo racing, football, shooting range, piano playing, the card game “Blood of the Queen” and many others, which, among others, return from the Final Fantasy VII remake in an improved versions. .
Final Fantasy VII Rebirth will take full advantage of the PlayStation 5, SSD and DualSense controller. In performance mode, players should get 60 frames per second, while in graphics mode there will be more effects and 4K resolution.
If you can’t wait any longer or just want to make sure Final Fantasy VII Rebirth is right for you, you can now find it on the PS Store demo version. The demo allows you to relive an important moment for Cloud and Sephiroth in the form of a flashback to Nibelheim, where you can play as both. On February 21st, the demo will be expanded to include part of the Juno region, so you can experience the freedom of play that Square Enix has been so focused on. The procedure does not carry over to the full version.
