Until the March issue Dragon’s Dogma 2 Capcom will be providing us with short videos introducing this RPG. The first in a series of trailers, just 90 seconds long, focuses on this story.
We’ll live in the game story of the Risen One, a champion whose heart was stolen by a dragon. While the setting mirrors the lush hills of the first and its Dark Arisen expansion, the second takes place in a parallel world containing two nations with different approaches to the dragon threat. Queen Regent Disa installed a fake Risen One to maintain control of the Vermund Kingdom for her son. Meanwhile, the brutal nation of Battal sees the alien lackeys as a source of misfortune and has turned to the worship of the Blazing Flame and its empress Nadinia to prevent misfortune.
At the beginning of their journey in the game, players will be able to create both the Risen One and the Main Pawn using an intuitive and detailed character builder that uses photogrammetry to enhance the realism of each character’s appearance. In addition, players can choose the personality of their main pawn, which will determine their behavior and conversation choices throughout the game. As players progress, they will unlock additional professions.
If you haven’t played the original Dragon’s Dogma, that’s okay. You will still enjoy the double. The game will be released on March 22 on PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S.
