The continuation of Death Stranding from the studio Kojima Productions is still formally known under the not very inspiring designation DS2. But now it finally replaces the full name Death Stranding 2: On the Beach. It was announced during the State of Play event, and with it we have a very extensive trailer that offers not only a traditional look at elaborate cutscenes, but also the first real and visual footage of the gameplay.
Death Stranding 2 looks set to build heavily on what we already know from its predecessor in terms of gameplay. Actor Norman Reedus because Sam Porter Bridges is back and in his shoes we will once again travel through an inhospitable world (this time even outside the former United States), running errands and connecting hard-to-reach places. Honestly at times it may feel like we’re in for a massive expansion of the original game rather than a full-fledged sequel. However, they distinguish Death Stranding 2 from the 2019 original and the slightly younger Director’s Cut. noticeably more diverse locations, among which we find deserts and mountain ranges, which can obviously be destroyed very effectively. New vehicles will also obviously make our travel easier.
