Author Ellie Conway (Bryce Dallas Howard) became famous for a series of novels about a secret agent named Argyle (Henry Cavill), who follows in the footsteps of James Bond and saves humanity from madmen of all stripes. The story of her latest book describes his fight against a powerful syndicate planning to take over the world. The details of the entire plot surprisingly coincide with the plans that the real criminal gang is going to implement. And that should decide what to do with Ellie. Is this just a coincidence or is he working with someone in the know? Will listening to her be enough? Or should it be disposed of immediately? It is clear that the writer’s very quiet life in idyllic solitude, with only his cat Alfie for company, has just come to an end.
