A group of modders called Revolution Team have published new gameplay footage of the unofficial remaster of GTA: Vice City. Project called Vice City NextGen Edition uses the Rage engine, which runs GTA 5, Red Dead Redemption 2 and other modern games from Rockstar. The authors of this ambitious modification decided to preserve the traditional visual style of Vice City, despite its use. Besides improving the graphics and sound, they also focused on changing some of the game mechanics.
The mod in the finished version should offer the full game, including all story missions. Attached above are special gameplay footage. they show the All Hand on Deck mission. We’ll see if this attempt gives fans a better experience than the official remaster, released in 2021 as part of the critically acclaimed collection called Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy – The Definitive Edition.
