There has been a lot of speculation over the past few weeks regarding potential presentations from major gaming companies. And while Microsoft already has Xbox Developer Direct, Sony and Nintendo are still waiting. Direct in February is almost a tradition, but will the State of Play actually take place? New information from the leader with the nickname Nick visited often they definitely point to it. And we could expect this event very soon.
He specifically mentions the date January 31st, which is this Wednesday. But even more interesting is the composition itself, which Nick talks about somewhat mysteriously, but is easy to decipher. In the next game state we should see the following headers:
- Rise of the Ronin
- Death in Stranding 2
- Final Fantasy VII: Rebirth
- Sonic Generations (Remake/Remaster?)
- Silent Hill 2 Remake
- Until Dawn (remaster/remake)
- Subway (apparently a completely new game)
- Judas
While some of the games might be expected, a new Metro or Sonic seems like a potential surprise for fans. It’s also interesting that Judas, a game from Ghost Story Games, led by BioShock series creator Ken Levine, is also set to appear. The game was unveiled at The Game Awards 2022 and we haven’t seen anything about it since. We are still waiting a little for news regarding the remake of the second Silent Hill, which could reveal not only the gameplay, but possibly also the release date.
Of course, this is just a leak that does not need confirmation. But two of these games (Until Dawn and Death Stranding 2) were recently reported by insider Billbil-kun, who has very good sources. And he said, among other things, that details should be expected in the next two weeks.
According to Insider Gaming’s Tom Henderson, it’s likely that such detailed information comes directly from the video recording of the entire presentation, which has already been uploaded to YouTube for someone to access. Thus, accuracy must be practically guaranteed.
On the 31st (or so), the Ronin will rise, we will die stranded, be reborn, and Kojima will achieve his dream. Sonic will live in the shadows of his generation, and the hills will be silent until dawn, when you need to take the subway. Just don’t be a Judas in this.
