It’s been a few days since MSI announced its own pocket PC, and today we got the official announcement of the MSI Claw. More detailed information about him was provided, for example, by The Verge magazine or YouTuber Dave2D.
The new PDA has an operating system installed. Windows 11 and thus presents competition primarily to the Legion Go and Asus ROG Ally, since the Steam Deck uses the Linux-based Steam OS. However, unlike all the devices mentioned, the Claw uses a chip not from AMD, but from Intel, namely Core Ultra 100 series processors built on the Meteor Lake architecture.
A total of three models will be available, the highest of which will offer the processor. Intel Core Ultra 7 155H with 6 P-cores, 8 E-cores and 2 LPE cores, an NPU, that is, an AI computing chip, is also available. Graphics chip Arch it’s built on the Alchemist architecture and stands up to even the most powerful iGPU from AMD. The cost of individual models is being determined. from $699 to $799while the base variant should offer 512GB of internal storage and a maximum 1TB NVMe SSD. All models must have 16 GB LPPDDR5 RAM.
