Like Nvidia, AMD held its own conference at CES this year, where we saw several announcements.

The main topic was the APU, codenamed Haw Point, which will go to numbered stores. Ryzen 8000G and will arrive soon January 31. The processor part is built on Zen 4 architecture, and the graphics chip is based on RDNA 3 architecture. A total of four models were presented: eight-core Ryzen 7 8700G with Radeon 780M graphics, six-core Ryzen 5 8600G with Radeon 760M graphics, and then six-core Ryzen 5 8500G and quad-core Ryzen 3 8300G, both with Radeon 740M. All APUs have a TDP of 65W, with the two highest models having a higher TDP than the rest. NPU (chip for artificial intelligence computing), built on the XDNA architecture.

The next announcement was a video card Radeon RX 7600 XT. Although the name suggests that this will be a more powerful card than the Radeon RX 7600, the characteristics are not particularly different, since the number of cores is identical, only the frequency is slightly increased. The main advantage of the XT model is the higher amount of video memory, which has been increased from 8 GB to 16 GB. However, the bus and memory speeds remain the same, and hence the bandwidth. TDP is increased to 190 W, and with it the price. The card will go on sale January 24 For US$329the original version without XT costs $269.AMD Unveils New APUs and More 7600 Products at CES

The latest, but very interesting announcement was the processor Ryzen 7 5700X3D. Even in 2024, support for the AM4 platform is still not ending, and after last year’s Ryzen 5 5600X3D, there’s another thing with V-Cache. This time it’s a stripped-down Ryzen 7 5800X3D, offering the same cache size (100MB) and the same number of cores (8), with the only difference being a slightly lower clock rate. The price is set at $249 and the processor will already arrive January 31 (as opposed to the 5600X3D for the global market). It will also be released on the same day Ryzen 7 5700stripped down version of Ryzen 7 5700X for $175.
