The life cycle of Gran Turismo Sport racing from the Japanese studio Polyphony Digital is slowly coming to an end. Sony a few days ago without prior notice withdrawn from digital distribution. The game is no longer available for purchase on the official PlayStation Store. Therefore, the only option at the moment is to buy the physical edition. Next stage will happen on January 31stwhen the servers go down, causing the game to lose all online features and modes.
At first, the focus was clearly on Gran Turismo Sport multiplayer. However, over the years the developers have also expanded the game a bit. robust single-player content, which will remain available even after the servers are turned off. Polyphony Digital is currently focused on providing additional support in the form of new tracks and vehicles for Gran Turismo 7, releasing in March 2022.
