Dave Diver appeared out of the blue. The humble film, starring a diver, quickly won the hearts of the community, attracting widespread attention. And apparently there was quite a bit of interest. To date, more than 3 million players around the world have purchased this excellent item. This probably wouldn’t be such a success for a AAA game, but for a smaller project it’s certainly a major milestone.
Moreover, the price tag of Dave the Diver is not at all small for an indie game. However, this trick is still successful and will likely not lose the player’s attention. Let’s hope this developer’s next project is as successful as this foray into profitability.
