The situation around COVID-19 is calming down, but its effects are still present, and it still has a significant impact on various gaming events, simply because such events require several months of planning.
And one of those events is me QuakeCon hosted by ZeniMax Media, where we get news from the world of games from id Software and other studios owned by ZeniMax (so Bethesda, for example).
The organizers announced that this year there will be from 18 to 20 Augustbut only this time in online form.

Of course, the organizers regret this decision, but they assure that the team is hard at work on the program, which will consist of various streams, online meetings or charity opportunities, while details will be revealed in June.
However, by 2023, QuakeCon should take place physically in Dallas.
