It takes you into the dark story of young Amicia and her little brother Hugo on their painful journey through history’s darkest period. Pursued by Inquisition soldiers and surrounded by an unstoppable tide of rats, Amicia and Hugo become acquainted and begin to trust each other. In the fight for their lives against countless traps, they will try to find meaning in this cruel and merciless world.
Everything happens in 1349. Plague devastates the French kingdom. Amicia and her younger brother Hugo are persecuted by the Inquisition. As they travel through villages devastated by a terrible disease, they will have to join forces with other children and use fire and light to cope with the tides of rats. The only help on their path of survival, filled with unspeakable horrors, is the bonds that bind their destinies. Their adventure begins… and with it, the period of innocence ends.
