Atlas the Fallen did not achieve the financial success that Deck 13 and Focus Entertainment had hoped. However, they’re not going to break their head on an action RPG set in a world covered in sand, and for 2024 they’re announcing improved version and new content.

Both will arrive someday in the second half of calendar year 2024, that is, between July and December. We do not know more accurate information at the moment. And in general, we don’t even know what exactly to expect. We’ll find out the details sometime later.

At the moment, the German studio Deck 13 has prepared one big update that fixed bugs, improved the game and added support for AMD FidelityFX Super Resolution. A second update followed in mid-November and focused on fixing more bugs.

Focus’ financial position has benefited from other games, with Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Shredder’s Revenge, A Plague Tale: Requiem, Atomic Heart, SnowRunner and Insurgency: Sandstorm performing particularly well. Aliens Dark Descent, Warhammer 40,000: Boltgun and Chants of Sennaar also achieved good results.

“Atlas Fallen had huge potential thanks to its interesting sand dune setting and magical fantasy world. Despite this, it’s the world, story and characters that make Atlas Fallen just an average game. Despite this, the gameplay is interesting, the combat is fresh, and moving around the map thanks to interesting sand surfing will be fun, but you probably won’t remember the game after playing it.” you can read in our review.
