A true old-school strategy game, Stormgate will feature a story-driven campaign that the creators say will be worth the effort. Of course, there will be more reasons why the storyline should be a strong element. However, one of the main ones is undoubtedly the fact that writer Chris Metzen was brought in to work on it. The plot will revolve around the opening of the gates of hell, from which piles of demons will pour out, eager to devour the world, which, of course, other factions will want to prevent. In general, it is noticeable that veterans from Blizzard Entertainment are working on it. Whether they steal too much from their previous projects is a question.
Stormgate will be released on PC in early access in the summer of 2024. The creators have not yet been informed how long subsequent development will take.
