Last night, Rockstar officially unveiled the sixth installment in the Grand Theft Auto series in advance. The premiere trailer was accompanied by a short press release featuring Sam Houser introducing an exciting open-world storyline designed to showcase the studio’s ongoing efforts to expand the game genre’s capabilities. In addition, studio representatives address those present the biggest and most exciting evolution in the serieswhich takes players to the neon-drenched city of Vice City, located in the fictional state of Leonidas.
In the press release, the studio also mentions platforms such as PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S, on which the game will be released during 2025. I searched in vain for mentions of the PC version. So it’s more than likely that the game will only reach computers from a certain distance, which has essentially become the rule for Rockstar games.
For example, Grand Theft Auto 5 came out on PC about 18 months after consoles. In the case of Red Dead Redemption 2, players then waited a little over a year. So it’s quite possible that GTA 6 won’t be released on PC until 2026. But for now PC version hasn’t even been announced yetTherefore, speculation about its release date is premature at this time.
