On Monday we informed you about proposed development freeze remake of Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic. The source of the information was insider Jeff Grubb, who claimed that no one is currently working on the expected remake. But this information a few days later on the ResetEra forum and then with me Twitter respected journalist Jason Schreier denied this.
He claims that two people from the Saber Interactive studio, which some time ago took over the development of the game from the Aspyr studio, told him that still working on the game. This, of course, is a question of the intensity with which development occurs. After all, Schreier himself states that he has no idea when the game might come out. However, the entire project, apparently, was not frozen. The remake of Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic was originally planned for PC and PlayStation 5.
I can’t say if there will ever be a KOTOR remake, but yes, two people from Saber Interactive told me that they are still working on it, despite recent rumors that no one is working on the game. (Sabre took over the project from Aspyr last year, Bloomberg reported at the time) https://t.co/prNTT6iVAy
