Nightdive Studios announces a slight delay in the remake of the cult first-person action game Turok 3. The game is called Turok 3: Shadow of Oblivion Update it will be released on PC and current consoles in a few weeks.
The game was originally planned to be released on November 14th of this year. Now versions for PC (Steam), PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, PlayStation 4, Xbox One and Nintendo Switch are scheduled for November 30th.
At Nightdive Studios we were able to play remasters of the previous two entries in the classic series that were released on the N64 in previous years. All three games are available brought to life in the KEX engine and will allow us to enjoy the action in 4K resolution at 120 frames per second. The developers have improved the gameplay, added high-resolution textures, improved lighting, visual effects and other parts of the graphics, including the environment, character models and weapon models. In a similar way, this team updated the games Shadow Man, Blade Runner, Star Wars: Dark Forces or System Shock.
Switch gamers will be pleased to know that their version will have additional motion/gyro controls and controller vibration.
Let’s remember that in the third Turok you will choose between two main characters: Joseph and Danielle Fireseed, siblings of the main character Joshua Fireseed from Turok 2: Seeds of Evil. Together, they must fight the antagonist Oblivion and his minions, the Flesh Eaters, after they supposedly killed their brother.
