A year has already passed since the announcement of new projects from the world of Silent Hill. However, other than the release of a controversial online series called “Ascension” a few days ago, we haven’t heard much new information, but that could soon change.
Yesterday’s Resident Evil Central Twitter account noticed, that first the Canadian store Video Games Plus, and then the famous American chain of stores GameStop launched pre-orders for the remake of Silent Hill 2, which is being worked on by the Polish studio Bloober Team. Even on Twitter he replied even GameStop itself, and indirectly hinted several times that something would actually happen. Moreover, this is not the only store; today pre-orders also started at Amazon.

Everything indicates that we should expect a new sample and, possibly, a release date very soon. Let me remind you that the remake is built on Unreal Engine 5 and promises, first of all, modern graphics and controls; the plot should have remained virtually unchanged.
The game is currently releasing on PC and PlayStation 5, with console exclusivity set to last for 12 months.
