Conspiracy theories abound. You know, the moon landing, the lizard people or the Illuminati. However, today we are here not for the sake of real theories, but for the sake of gaming ones. We will consider not only far-fetched ones that are difficult to believe, but also those that may be true.
Let’s start with the one that at some point conquered the world of video games. Herobrine. Remember this legend? Over the years, the missing character in Minecraft that haunted us at night has become so famous around the world that even the developers themselves have embraced the theory. Herobrine was supposed to be a magical character in the brick world of Minecraft, who would watch your every move without a break, and if you were very lucky, you could even see him with your own eyes.
According to various theories, this was the alter ego of Steve, the main character, and perhaps Notch’s deceased brother, i.e. main developer of Minecraft. Herobrine’s popularity was helped by hundreds of videos where players tried to find him or somehow summon him. Of course, the videos with him turned out to be fake, and Herobrine himself was never in the game. However, as we already said, it got to the point that even the developers themselves picked up this theory and began to refer to Herobrine, for example, in the description of updates. However, despite being proven non-existent, Herobrine is still a living conspiracy theory. Even today, there are players who believe that he is still somewhere in Minecraft. Or not? Try to look back sometimes in the cubic world. You never know who or what is following you.
