End credits of the new Spider-Man Marvel 2 from Games for insomniaaccordingly, motherhood Sony, do not include a number of names of translators who worked on localization into 26 languages of the world. This was pointed out by another translator, who introduced himself as Mark E.G.
“Who exactly would you like to thank: PlayStation, Insomniac? Tell us their names, we would like to thank them too…” he wrote, referring to the fact that instead of naming Sony, he only vaguely thanks a number of translators.
Who specifically would you like to say thank you to? @game console/@insomniacgames? Tell us their names, we would also like to thank them…#TranslatorsInTheCredits #Spider-Man2 pic.twitter.com/m1u5DCPVr6

As in other similar cases, the names of managers, producers, directors and specialists involved in localization are not missing. Specific names of translators can be found in the case of Japanese, but otherwise they do not name internal or external subtitles. The situation also applies to the Czech translators that Spider-Man received.
The absence of names in headlines is increasingly being noticed. For translators, this is often the only reference for working on a game. A similar problem recently arose, for example, with Star Wars Jedi: Survivor or Baldur’s Gate 3. In the latter case, the Larian studio corrected the situation relatively quickly.
