The upcoming Survival Horror Alan Wake 2 recently attracted attention with HW’s statements about its PC version, saying that the game will not support older video cards. The culprit is the use of DirectX 12 Ultimate technology, which does not work on video cards older than the RTX 20 and RX 6000 series. Owners of older sets will probably not run the game perfectly because of this, and in the worst case, they will not be able to play at all.
Developers from the Remedy studio followed the publication of HW requirements. by running preload, which is now available on consoles. So if you pre-ordered the game on PlayStation 5 or Xbox Series X/S, then all the necessary data you can download in advance now. If in the case of the PS5 version you will have to prepare 85 GB of disk space, then for the Xbox Series X/S 82 GB of free space will be enough.
The game will also be coming to PC via the Epic Games Store, but it doesn’t appear to be available for pre-loading. Alan Wake 2 will be released this Friday, October 27 at 06:00 Nowadays. The launch trailer is set to be released at today’s Xbox Partner Preview presentation.
