Embracer Group Ready for $8 Billion Acquisitions

Embracer Group’s largest purchase in December 2021 was the acquisition of a French company asmodee, which produces board games, for 2.75 billion euros. Embracer won again last month Dark Horse Media. She paid an undisclosed amount to a leading American comic book publisher.

Last year, the company bought Borderlands developer Gearbox for $1.4 billion, and in 2021 acquired World War Z and Spell 3 developer Saber Interactive in a deal that could rise to $525 million.

The company owns not only the Prague studio Warhorse Studios, where they created Kingdom Come: Deliverance, but also Brno Ashborne Games and the Slovak Nine Rocks Games.

At the end of 2021, Embracer Group representatives made it clear that in the next five years will release 25 big-budget games for PC and unspecified consoles.
