Hardware requirements and exact release time of Alan Wake 2

There is exactly a week left before the release of the expected Survival Horror Alan Wake 2, and today the developers from Remedy finally shared some pretty important information.

Let’s start with something that will be interesting to all players. We’ve known for a while now that the game would be releasing on October 27th, but now Remedy has announced exact time for individual groups. We learned that our Central European game will come for this October 27 at 6:00 am.. Below you can see the times in other zones.

In addition, we have a table that will be of particular interest to PC players, as it contains Hardware Requirements. As for those minimumwhich targets low settings, 1080p resolution (with DLSS/FSR in quality mode, meaning 720p internal resolution) and 30fps, you’ll need at least a GeForce graphics card. RTX 2060 from Nvidia or Radeon PX 6600 from AMD. A relatively old thing is recommended as a processor Intel Core i5-7600K (should be sufficient for higher settings Ryzen 7 3700X), the Northlight engine has proven to be quite CPU-friendly in the past. How much FRAMEshould be enough 16 GB (even for all presets), and this is mandatory 90 GB disk space. Mentions of legal remedies SSD onlyso the hard drive probably won’t even be supported.

If you want to get the most out of the game then there are high settings, 4K and 60fps (but no ray tracing)you will need graphics PTX 4070 or RX 7800XT with the fact that you must have upscaling enabled in Performance mode (in this case, upscaling from 1080p).

If ray tracing you will want it, so you should have at least PTX 3070 or RX 6800XT, where Remedy promises 30 frames per second with medium detail, low ray tracing and 1080p resolution. Again, you need to enable scaling (specifically Quality, so 720p inside).

If you want the best experience in 4K (but performance mode, i.e. 1080p internal resolution) at high detail and with path tracing enabled and max setting at 60 fpsyou will need a video card PTX 4080.
