Pete Hines leaves Bethesda – Zing

Head of Publishing and one of Bethesda’s most prominent leaders Pete Hines announces retirement. He worked for 24 years at the American games publisher, which it bought from Microsoft in 2020 along with the entire Zenimax company. Through various positions, Hines gradually worked his way up to the aforementioned position of head of the publishing department.

In the statement below, Hines published on social network X, see looks back on his career at Bethesda, which he says culminated with the recent release of Starfield, the successful launch of which he considers the right time to leave. At the same time, he thanks all the employees, fans and the entire community that has formed around Bethesda games over the years for their support and enthusiasm.
