British Competition Authority (CMA) finally approved the acquisition Activision Blizzard from the outside Microsoft. This comes after adjusting the terms of the deal and Microsoft’s commitment to sell streaming rights outside of Europe to France’s Ubisoft. There is nothing stopping the purchase and companies can close today, October 13th.

“The new agreement will prevent Microsoft from blocking competition in cloud gaming as the market develops and will maintain competitive prices and services for cloud gaming customers in the UK. This will allow Ubisoft to offer Activision content under any business model, including subscription services,” the CMA wrote.

“We are grateful to the CMA for its thorough review and decision today. We have now cleared the final regulatory hurdle to complete a deal that we believe will benefit gamers and the gaming industry around the world,” the Microsoft president reacts to the deal’s approval. Brad Smith.

The UK was the latest country to block Activision’s purchase of Blizzard. Microsoft previously won a lawsuit against the US Federal Trade Commission (FTC). The companies want to close the deal by October 18, but this is expected to happen very soon, possibly as early as today, October 13.
