Released in May of this year, Arkane Austin’s Redfall was one of the year’s biggest disappointments. The developers, as well as leading representatives of the Microsoft gaming division, under which the studio falls, promised correction and gradual improvement in the form of updates and additional content. For example, Bethesda CEO Pete Hines mentioned that Redfall’s goal is to follow the fate of games like Fallout 76 or The Elder Scrolls Online, which, despite a poor start, received really rich support and significant improvements.
However, in the case of Redfall, players have been waiting for any significant update since June, when the last update numbered 1.1 was released. The result is a gradual decline in players to almost zero. PCGamesN magazine noted that only a few dozen players are currently playing Redfall on Steam. At some points even in the game already found custom units only, who are not even able to assemble a team of four people. So the question is whether it’s too late to save the game.
