Remedy today released another behind-the-scenes video of the making of Survival Horror Alan Wake 2, this time focusing on sound and music. According to the developers, sound is an integral part of the entire gameplay of this genre.
In the video you can watch footage recording various sounds, be it in the forest or in water, for example. The developers even created their own musical instruments that produce completely unique sounds.
Another key element should be the connection between sound and music, which should complement each other in the game. In this regard, it’s good to add that the composer of the second part is Petri Alanko, who also took care of the music for the first part, Control, Quantum Break and almost all games from Remedy. However, we can also count on music from other Finnish artists, as well as the band Poets of the Fall (performing at RCU as Old Gods of Asgard), with whom Remedy has been collaborating since the release of Max Payne 2, to be present.
Alan Wake 2 will be released on October 27 on PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S.
