So far, you’ve been able to play Call of Duty Warzone’s popular free-to-play Battle Royale event in two iterations. In addition to the current Warzone 2.0 was also available old version with caldera map, which sent players to the Pacific Ocean. Caldera was originally released in 2021, when it accompanied the release of Call of Duty: Vanguard and replaced the Verdansk map from the original Warzone.
Activision announced some time ago that will shut down the servers for this map today, September 21st., thus finally concluding the story of Caldera and the first war zone. Servers will be turned off today at exactly 19:00. After this, only the new version of Warzone 2.0 will be available.
