The developers are following the same path as with Hades 1. Early access there lasted almost two years and it bore fruit. The players helped shape and polish the title. It will take place before the release of the two in preliminary access limited technical test for several players. Its goal is to find and fix technical errors and shed light on optimization. The Early Access development version will gradually be updated over the course of several months with several significant updates with new content, including story development and the introduction of new characters. They will also respond to player feedback and adjust aspects of the game; both technical and gaming.

At the moment, the authors cannot say how long Hades 2 will be in early access. For now, they are focusing on creating content in the form of environments, characters, weapons, story events, music, and other elements. And if you’re wondering why the game isn’t available right now, the reason is simple. Supergiant Games wants Hades 2 to begin its hellish journey with at least as much content as the first game released in Early Access on Steam. The full version will also appear on consoles.

Hades 2 will focus on Melinoe, the immortal princess of the underworld and the sister of the protagonist Zagrea. In her shoes, we embark on a journey to save her father from Kron, the titan of time. Along the way we will explore the wider mythical world.

“Like her brother Zagreus from the original game, Melinoe is not a character created by us, but is based on an ancient god of the underworld believed to be associated with Hades. What little there is of her from ancient mythology was more than enough to make us want to explore her history and connection to her family, expanding our vision of the underworld.” we will read from the official description.
