The assumptions were confirmed, Sony is indeed planning another State of Play event, it will take place on Thursday. September 14. A Nintendo Direct is also scheduled for the same day.
According to Sony, first of all we should expect new information about already announced games. Specifically, these should include indie games, PS VR2 games, and “upcoming major games from third party partners.” Square Enix’s Final Fantasy VII Rebirth will likely be one of them. Theoretically, Horizon Forbidden West could also be ported to PC. In any case, Sony doesn’t mention its own games at all.
