The authors of Lords of the Fallen explain the multiplayer format

Lords of the Fallen is a game with many gameplay mechanics. One of the most fundamental will definitely be multiplayer, which the authors are now actively discussing in their latest blog. Players will be offered both co-op and classic PvP, so nothing will stop you from tracking down human opponents if you want. Once you join someone, the host’s world will reflect how far they are in history. The companion player will not progress, but you will receive equipment, levels, and money earned while playing together.

There is also no invasion of other people’s worlds, in which you will be given the task of executing a person, after eliminating whom you will receive a reward and, above all, special game currency. The defender will be able to call a friend for help, while the attacker will have to deal with his victim alone. You can then count on the game’s three factions Umbral, Rogar and the Radiant to accept different currencies earned. There is also revenge that you will carry out against monsters that managed to kill one of the players.

Lords of the Fallen will release on PC, PS5 and Xbox Series X/S on October 13, 2023.
