The organizers of the gaming exhibition Gamescom reported that this year’s event was attended by more than 320,000 visitors. Last year, when the show resumed after a two-year hiatus due to the coronavirus, 265,000 players came to Cologne. Thus, this year’s figures are close to those of 2019, when more than 373,000 tickets were sold. The number of visitors from the professional community and the number of exhibitors also increased from year to year.

This year, more than 1,200 enterprises presented their innovations. This number includes major game companies, independent developers and merchandise sellers. In addition to attendance and a large number of exhibitors, the organizers also pride themselves on side events, led by the lively Opening Night Live conference. Despite a forced two-year hiatus and a not-so-busy last year, this year’s event is back in full force with visible potential for years to come.
