The Polish studio Starward Industries was founded in 2018, and two years later we saw the announcement of their first project, a video game adaptation of Stanisław Lem’s book Invincible. This is a sci-fi adventure game in which we take on the role of the astrobiologist Jasna, who is exploring the planet Regis III in search of the missing team. The game has undergone several delays and in the meantime acquired a publisher, also a Polish company 11 bit studios (authors of This War of Mine and Frostpunk). And now, almost three years after the initial announcement, we finally got a release date in an atmospheric trailer.
Invincible arrives November 6 this year simultaneously on PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. And while an incredibly busy October is about to pass, we’re still talking about a week during which games like Call of Duty: Modern Warfare III, Like a Dragon Gaiden: The Man Who Erased His Name, or Banishers: Ghosts of New Eden released. We don’t know the price of the game yet, but you can wishlist it on Steam.
As a final note, if you visit Gamescom in Cologne this week, you can try the game at the 11-bit studios booth in Hall 10.
