And now we’re not talking about the Pro model he talked about just a while ago, but rather a slight redesign of an existing console that won’t bring extra performance. , just a small redesign. However, all this time, the new model was talked about as a console with a removable drive, which means that Sony wanted to unify the version of the set-top box with and without a drive, so that it can be purchased separately, i.e. just connects via USB. However, now the Internet has got materials that mean something different.

Both the photo and the video show the same model, which, although it strongly resembles the existing one, the console is slightly narrower and more curved, with plates separated on both sides.

According to Marmo, the model should bear the designation CFI-2016. This would indeed mean a major upgrade, since the original model is designated CFI-1000 (the second double digit indicates only the target region and does not play a role in technical aspects), subsequent versions then CFI-1100 and CFI -1200. In addition, this will follow the trend of the previous generation, when we also saw the first two versions, and then the Slim model numbered 2000. However, will the new PS5 model really carry the Slim designation or just replace the current one. and have the same name is not yet known exactly.
