Improvements primarily affected the graphic page. Developers are tempting to support 4K resolution, wide screens, as well as richer models, better animation, AI behavior or better movies, anti-aliasing and lighting.
In terms of content, first of all worth attention new addition called Call of the Machine, which offers 28 single player levels and one multiplayer deathmatch map. Behind the development of this add-on are the authors of the latest parts of the Wolfenstein series from MachineGames. In addition, the new version also includes the DLC The Reckoning and Ground Zero, which until now were only available in the Nintendo 64 version. All content from this version is available for free. In addition to the campaign, you will also be able to spend time in online multiplayer for up to 16 players or local split screen.
Quake II is available in a remastered version on PC (Steam), as well as PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, and Nintendo Switch. The price was set at 10 euros. The game was also released in Xbox/PC Game Pass subscription.
