On the occasion of San Diego Comic-Con, developers from NetherRealm Studios have released a new trailer with Mortal Kombat 1. It focuses on Li Mei’s story. We will learn more about the former leader of the Umgadi warriors and more playable heroes have been confirmed. Among them are Tanya and Baraka. Interestingly, most players remember this couple more than Li Mei.
Earlier assumptions were also confirmed. Additional characters in Kombat Pack: Omni-Man (Invincible), Homelander (boys) peacemaker (Peacemaker, Suicide Squad) Quan Chi (Mortal Kombat: Defenders of the Realm), Ermak (Ultimate Mortal Kombat 3) Takeda (Mortal Kombat X). Probably all of them will be included in the first Kombat Pack.
With the performance of current generation consoles, creators can show many more small interactions. They stab a little robot that comes and cleans up all the blood. Small details such as seams can be seen on Li Mei’s costume. Performance should also be visible in the environment. It’s fresher and overall more enjoyable.
Mortal Kombat 1 will release on September 14, 2023 on PS5, Xbox Series X|S, PC and Switch.
