A number of old Call of Duty games for the Xbox 360 are experiencing a rebirth. Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare, Modern Warfare 2, Modern Warfare 3, Black Ops and Black Ops 2 began to appeal to players on Xbox consoles in a big way after the developers fixed the infrastructure. It is currently unclear if the bug will also be fixed on PS3 and PC.
On Xbox, these old parts have an advantage because they backward compatibility, so you can also play them on Xbox One and Xbox Series X/S. Which is why the original Call of Duty: Black Ops reached 123,852 online players over the weekend. Modern Warfare 3 had 79,619 players and Black Ops 2 had 11,514 players.
Apparently, there was more interest in these old games over the weekend than in Halo Infinite and Battlefield 2042 combined. It goes to show how popular these old Call of Duty titles are.
(FYI) The Xbox 360 Call of Duty servers are back online and now gamers are back!
