The first Red Dead Redemption, despite various hints and speculation, never officially appeared on the PC. Therefore, unofficial emulators continue to be the only option to run the game on PC. In the latest version emulator called Xenia The techs at Digital Foundry have found that the game can run surprisingly well on this emulator. Xenia emulates the Xbox 360 version and in addition provides unlocked frame rates and support for higher resolutions.
That is why the representatives of Digital Foundry themselves call this emulator an unofficial remaster in their video. One of the major disadvantages of emulators is high hardware requirements, which did not bypass the emulated Red Dead Redemption. However, if you own a more powerful machine, then you should not have such a problem with the smoothness of the game. Owners of weaker hardware can then resort to lowering the resolution.
