Larry Mushroom announced the end Microsoft. He was responsible for a number of things within the company, but is best known for his interactions with fans and appearances outside of social media under the username Major Nelson.
“After an incredible twenty years, I have decided to retire and focus on the next chapter of my career. “When I think about what we have achieved together, I have to thank the millions of players around the world who have made me a part of their lives,” he wrote on Twitter.
Also, thank you to the members of the Xbox team for trusting me to have a direct dialogue with our customers. Xbox has a bright future, and as a gamer, I’m excited to see the evolution.
Thank you, see you online

Grib joined Microsoft in 2001 as editor-in-chief of MSN Music. In 2003, he moved to the gaming division and worked there for nine years as project Manager. He participated in a number of elements that we still associate with the Xbox, such as the achievement system or cloud saves. Acted as a link between developers, PR, marketing and community. Since 2012, he moved mainly into the field of PR and marketing as director of corporate communications.
“Larry, it has been great working with you on this journey. Thank you for being my friend and for everything you’ve done for our community and the Xbox team,” he wrote. Phil SpencerHead of Xbox
