Cycle: Frontier F2P event will close for players in September

Multiplayer First Person Shooter Cycle: Border From the creators of Spec Ops: The Line will end on September 27th. Developers from Yager Development wrote that despite their best efforts, they were unable to finance the game: “This is a very difficult decision for us, but after much debate, we had to admit that this is the best solution for YAGER.”

The Cycle: Frontier only released last June after spending two years in Early Access. But the free-to-play model did not suit the German developer. “After the release of the third season, we saw an increase in success rates. Unfortunately, this is still not enough to make The Cycle: Frontier financially viable,” they explain.

The authors accept refunds for in-game purchases from the last two weeks and prohibit further purchases with real money. The in-game store will be open until the end with a discount of more than 95%. All players will receive a free Battle Pass for the third season, and progress will also accelerate.

“Now we will focus on new projects and use all the valuable experience, knowledge and feedback that we received,” the developers also look to the future.
