1. Diablo was originally meant to fall into the turn-based game genre. But, as we see at the moment, fortunately, this did not happen, and the game became the first of a very successful game series.
   
2. One of the founders and authors of the original Diablo lived near Mount Diablo, the Spanish name for the devil, as a young man. And so the working title of the game was born, which later became the final name for all subsequent parts.
3. If you had reached level 16 in the original Diablo, you would have heard sounds in an incomprehensible language. But if you play this sound backwards, in English it will sound like “Eat vegetables and brush your teeth after eating.”
4. About 15 people worked on the first part of Diablo. During the second continuation, there were already 45 people. About 200 developers worked on the third part, a good evolution, isn’t it?
5. Prior to development, Diablo II had no design documentation. The developers just added what they thought was right. There wasn’t even a coherent story, just the idea that everything revolved around the original fighter who controlled the soulstone from the first Diablo.
6. Diablo II’s initial sales estimate was around 10% of what was actually sold. This spelled disaster at launch, as Blizzard’s servers weren’t ready for the load, including the Battle.net infrastructure.
7. There was a rumor among the players of the original Diablo that clicking on a cow in a village a certain number of times would open a portal to a secret cow level. It was just a rumor, but the developers added this level to Diablo II as an easter egg. A similar Easter egg can be found in the third part. 8. At some point, Diablo III was canceled entirely. And that’s because the original founders didn’t get along with Vivendi, the then owner of Blizzard, and eventually left. So Diablo III was developed almost from scratch in 2006.
