EA has undergone extensive internal restructuring

electronic arts announced a major internal restructuring and changes within the company that they strengthen creative teams. As part of the reorganization, there was a division EA Games And EA Sports into two organizations, with EA Games now called EA Entertainment. We can take this as an indication that the “new” EA wants to go beyond video games.

EA Entertainment includes Respawn, DICE, Ripple Effect, Ridgeline Games (Battlefield), Full Circle (Skate), Motive Studio (Dead Space, Iron Man), EA Studio in Seattle, BioWare and EA Originals. EA also owns a number of mobile games, including Star Wars: Galaxy of Heroes and the recently released Lord of the Rings: Heroes of Middle-earth.

EA Sports includes EA Sports FC (formerly FIFA), the F1 Series, Madden, NHL, Need for Speed, and now Codemasters’ WRC.
