July will be poorer by one significant name. Electronic Arts announced a delay Immortals of Aveum. Magic first person shooter instead of the scheduled 07/20, it will release on 08/22 on PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S.
“The extra month will be used to fine-tune the game and further optimize it,” explained Bret Robbins, head of Ascendant Studios, who was previously creative director of Dead Space and Call of Duty at Sledgehammer Games. According to him, they were confirmed that Immortals of Aveum is an exceptional game. But they need a few extra weeks to fully bring their vision to life. “We owe it to ourselves and to you,” Robbins added.
Immortals of Aveum tells the story of Jak, who joins an elite order of battle mages to save the world from the brink. Legions of soldiers oppose each other on both sides of an endless war, and Jak must uncover the secrets of Aveum’s troubled past or the world will have no hope of salvation. Master three magical powers and cast spells with deadly skill in a game that defies the conventions of the FPS genre. The campaign is designed for approximately 25 hours.. But the game will also offer additional side paths and a hidden secret.
That leaves Oxenfree II, Pikmin 4, Jagged Alliance 3, Remnant II or platformer Ratchet and Clank: Rift Apart for PS5 PC, coming in July. On the other hand, in August Fallen Atlas (10/8), Moving Out 2 (15/8), Shadow Gambit: The Cursed Crew (17/8), Texas Chainsaw Massacre (18/8), Armored Core VI: Fires of Rubicon (8/25) or Baldur’s Gate III (8/31).
