Cyberpunk 2077 is getting final DLC in a few months, which, at least according to some players and critics, could bring it back to where it should have been at the start. From all the information available, it’s clear that the Phantom Liberty will be a really important addition to build a bridge to the next installment. Yes, you read it right. Cyberpunk 2077 is set to have a sequel, and it will be worked on by none other than Gabe Amatangelo, who is behind the development of the expansion currently in the making.
In an interview with Bloomberg, Amatangelo said he will move on to work on a sequel to the popular RPG once the current DLC is completed. From the information he provided, it is clear that the development is at an early stage. However, the project is expected to have between 350 and 500 developers working on it, so this will undoubtedly make a big difference, although the studio wants to avoid pressure on the creators during development. We will definitely hear more details about the Cyberpunk 2077 sequel in the coming years.
