New graphics from RDNA 2 due in May

Recently, rumors have been actively circulating about improved models of Radeon RX 6000 video cards built on the RDNA 2 architecture. We wrote about the possibility of updating this generation back in February, but this option seems more and more likely. We still haven’t received official confirmation, but Videocardz magazine published new information a few days ago, stating that the release is just around the corner.

In particular, we are looking forward to the Radeon RX 6950 XT, 6750 XT, 6650 XT, and 6400 cards. Of course, there will be more hits on offer.

The good news is that we won’t have to wait long, all of these graphics will be released on May 10th.

Laptops with Intel GPUs are not really on the market

Last week we wrote that Intel has finally released its Arc graphics cards, but they have a few clues. It was only graphics for laptops and only the lowest models, ie. A350M and A370M. But now another problem arose, laptops could not be found. Some customers bought a Samsung Book2 Pro laptop that was supposed to have an Intel Arc GPU, but when they arrived they were in for a pleasant surprise. They only received the Iris Xe integrated graphics version.

And what does Intel say? In essence, he backtracked on the previous announcement and now claims that laptops won’t be available until the end of the second quarter, likely when more models and desktop GPUs are released. The release of Intel Arc is another in a series of so-called “paper launches” that we often witness.
