The studio that created the game Forgotten but Unbroken, like many other creators, decided to try their luck with their game on Kickstarter, which has already allowed many independent projects to be launched. Unfortunately, the developers failed to succeed. Their goal was to raise almost $86,000. As a result, it was not possible to collect even half of the required amount. The community managed to raise 33 thousand dollars, for which the studio thanked them. Apparently, development has been going on for some time, so the developers definitely do not give up and give players who wish to support this project the opportunity to contribute through the official website or through Patreon.
Kickstarter was supposed to be one of the ways to gain independence, but now the studio is apparently looking for a publisher. However, none of them yet meets the requirements necessary for compliance. And how will failure in the campaign affect the game itself? The creators of Forgotten but Unbroken comment on it like this: “First of all, this will affect the game elements. We will have to drop some elements. The main goal of this campaign was for us to remain independent. So we won’t be able to do that and we will lose our independence. It is also possible that the development of the game will be delayed because we cannot expand our team as much as we would like. But keep your head up!“
The creators really appreciate the attention and support of the players. Forgotten but Unbroken was originally supposed to be released on PC this year or early next year at the latest. However, it is doubtful that development will not last until at least half of 2024.
